Native Title claim successful
21-12-2011

The Gawler Ranges people have been successful in their claim for native title.

Monday's court ruling has granted the Gawler Ranges people their native title claim which includes not only the Gawler Ranges but also Kingoonya, Glendambo and Lake Gairdner National Park. This ends a 12 year legal process. We hope in the new year to speak to the Gawler Ranges people and learn some of their history concerning Kingoonya, which we aim to share on our website.
