People get to Kingoonya in a variety of ways. Whilst 4 x 4 is the most usual others find more interesting modes of transport. Various car clubs pass through our town. In September we were visited by the Peugeot Car Club. Approx 12 different models of Peugeots were in this convoy. Unfortunately one decided to cross the railway tracks in a spot not recommended for low clearance, however with a bit of a nudge he got clear lol.
Some intrepid travellers have even chartered a plane just to fly in and have lunch.
4 x 4 car clubs and tag along tours also frequently stop in Kingoonya. September 2009 saw the Toyota Landcruiser club stop off for a coffee.
Passenger trains, the Ghan and the Indian Pacific pass through Kingoonya and I believe it is possible to catch the train in Kingoonya but as it is not a regular scheduled stop, special arrangements need to be made.
